sheila ryan-felker

Sheila Ryan-Felker began her career in the staffing industry in 1985, after graduating from Michigan State University. After working for a local staffing firm for a year and a half, Sheila was presented with the opportunity to purchase one of the first 50 franchises being offered by a national staffing franchisor. In the summer of 1986, she opened the Southfield office and in the subsequent five years, Sheila and her team opened three additional locations in the Metro Detroit area. During her time as a franchisee, Sheila’s operations and her staff were recognized as leaders in the franchise system and top achievers in sales nationally. Sheila holds the industry certifications of CPS (Certified Personnel Specialist) from the American Staffing Association and CPC (Certified Placement Consultant) and CTS (Certified Temporary-Staffing Specialist) from the National Association of Personnel Services. She is a hands-on leader who is excited to guide her team as the business continues to grow and evolve.


kurt felker

Kurt Felker joined the team in 1990 as an account manager who was responsible for driving sales for the Southfield office. After four very successful years in sales, Kurt turned his attention to running a full-service recruiting desk, eventually becoming our most successful direct hire recruiter during his tenure. After earning several industry certifications and studying human resources law, Kurt transitioned to our human resources manager where he continues to shape company policies, ensure all employment laws and regulations are adhered to, and support the branch offices with resolving field employee issues. Kurt has also served as board president of the Michigan Association of Staffing Services.

Jack Kaiser began working for the company in 1998, bringing with him a vast knowledge of information technology that has helped to ensure that our technology infrastructure is robust and best serves the needs of our clients and staff. With his continued guidance, the Phillip Charles Group has been able to stay current with respect to hardware and software applications that support our mission of serving our client organizations and our employees without sacrificing quality or integrity.


maura ryan-kaiser

Maura Ryan-Kaiser joined her sister, Sheila, shortly after the opening of the first office in Southfield. Maura graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in advertising and soon after immersed herself in the world of staffing. Since then, her focus has been on the sales and business development side of the industry. Maura has a strong belief in educating the staffing workforce and has dedicated her time for the last five years as the education chair for the Michigan Association of Staffing Services. Maura has earned multiple national recognition awards for her leadership, sales performance and team performance. She also holds the industry certifications of CPS (Certified Personnel Specialist) from the American Staffing Association and CPC (Certified Placement Consultant) and CTS (Certified Temporary-Staffing Specialist) from the National Association of Personnel Services. Maura is a natural born leader and her guidance has been fundamental to our company’s success.
